Actus continued its incredible growth in 2021, thanks to the ongoing trust and confidence of both our existing and new customers.

We keep our growth and investment in the engineering of our solutions. As part of this growth, we are happy to announce that Keith DesRosiers has joined the company as VP of solutions engineering. DesRosiers’ expertise with Actus Digital’s core competencies, integrated AI, cloud/hybrid architectures, and linear broadcast MAM workflows will help customers appreciate the affordable options Actus offers for solving complex media-related technical challenges and improving efficiency with greater consistency and quality.

Going far beyond compliance and engineering use cases

While other companies focus on compliance and technical monitoring only, we think this is not enough. We continue to expand our platform with solutions that are outside of the typical compliance logging and engineering use cases.

LMAM  –  MAM for linear broadcast at a fraction of the cost

Actus software enables media monitoring and MAM-like workflows. By using the Actus’s LMAM and AI, customers can generate additional levels of metadata that includes Speech to text, Facial Recognition, OCR, object detection and more. This additional metadata is timestamped, associated with the original recorded video, and fully searchable within the Actus solution. The Actus Platform can unite the additional metadata with the existing files in the customers’ existing MAM to enrich the existing assets.

Our customers can leverage the power of recorded video integrated with rich metadata using features already engrained into the Actus solution. A couple of prime examples:

Actus Clip Factory PRO – Advanced content re-purposing, simple and fast

Our Clip Factory Pro (CF PRO) allows to quickly repurpose video to VOD, OTT, Web and social. It provides advanced editing options and profiles selection to speed up the work, helping broadcasters to beat their competitors to digital by using Actus Clip Factory Pro.

More Compliance and Technical Monitoring options

A prime example is our Multiviewer that alerts on anything that threatens regulatory compliance (like missing captions and CALM Act or loudness violations), but also on quality issues (such as frozen or missing video, audio that is too loud, or too low or missing, pixelized video or color-bars, etc). More and more customers are having us build them systems where they are probing many points in a video-supply chain. One of our unique options is our new Synchro that organizes any channel being monitored at more than one probe point, or in the case of OTT, where they are distributing multiple renditions per OTT stream.

Synchro allows Actus users to press a button to display a multiviewer logically organized to show all of the various versions, highlighting any that are in fault or have violated the alert-parameters set up for them.
